Help Page

If you are new to the Internet or just wish to find out more about the structure of the Buckden Village Website, the following information may be of use to you:

Navigation buttons

We've tried hard to make the site as easy to use as possible by including (beige-coloured) 'navigation buttons' at the top of the home page. These buttons will take you to all parts of the site.

With your mouse, move the cursor over a navigation button. A text box should appear that will give you a brief description of that part of the site. Click on the button and you will be taken there!

Fast Select Menu

As its name implies, the Fast Select Menu enables you to move quickly to a specific page elsewhere on the site. To use, simply click where indicated to 'explode' the menu, highlight the page of interest and click the 'Go' button.

Links

At various places in the site you will see text that has been underlined. Basically, this means that there is more information and that it has been 'linked' to the text that you have been reading. Click on the underlined text with your mouse and you'll be taken to that information. (It maybe to another part of that page, to another part of the site or to somewhere else on the Internet.) Links are the very essence of the Internet!

Facility buttons

The buttons along the lower edge of the screen provide you with various facilities as shown below:

Example of 'Buckden Village' button. This may not look like a button, but it is! Click on the real button at the foot of the screen and it will take you back to the home page. (Useful if you lose your way on the site.)

Example of 'Search' button. This button takes you to a search page that helps you to locate information on the website. It saves having to trawl through the entire site yourself to find a particular piece of information.

As the site grows, this facility is likely to become increasingly useful. (We've also included a couple of the more well-known search engines on the page should you wish to search for information on the Internet.)

Example of 'Feedback' button. If there is anything that you would like to say about the site (good or bad) click the feedback button. This will take you to a special page that contains a simple form that allows you to send your comments directly to us. (You could, of course, send your comments via e-mail, however, the form is probably easier and more convenient to use.)

If you would like a reply, please, please make sure that your e-mail address is correct.

Example of 'Help' button. Calls up this help page!
