Buckden Parish Council - Notices
OPEN GOVERNMENT
Members of the public are welcome to attend both Council and Planning Committee meetings. Council meetings include an Open Forum during which you may raise matters of interest or concern to the parish. It is helpful, but NOT compulsory, to let the Clerk or Chairman know beforehand if you wish to speak.
Planning meetings do not normally include an Open Forum, but you may, if the Chairman permits, speak briefly on relevant agenda items. If you have detailed comments to make on a particular application, however, it is recommended that you let the Clerk have them no later than NOON on the DAY BEFORE the meeting (by letter or e-mail).
WHERE AND WHEN
Meetings of both the Parish Council and its Planning Committee are held in the Community Centre (Village Hall). They start at 7pm Planning and 7.30 pm Parish Council unless otherwise notified in the agendas which are posted during the week before the meeting on the Parish Noticeboards at Papworth’s Corner (George Lane), by the Village Green, Hunts End and the Village Hall car park. The Parish Council is sent copies of plans of new applications and makes them available for inspection - please contact the Clerk on buckdenclerk@btconnect.com
Alternatively, new applications and their supporting papers, including plans, may now be viewed on the HDC website. Go to
www.huntsdc.gov.uk/planning/main/old-main2.html
and follow the references to "public access" (be patient: it takes some getting used to - but it's worth it). HDC can also accept planning applications on line - go the address given above and look for the Planning Portal.
